Themes of Resistance: Teaching the Holocaust & Civil Rights Movement

Join us as we engage with Facing History's Holocaust and Human Behavior curriculum and civil rights resources, alongside local Greensboro history. Attendees will examine local civil rights history through the lens of resistance, focusing on the actions of the Greensboro Four, as well as lesser-known stories of resistance. Participants will spend 3 days engaging in a mix of professional development and exploring local civil rights history, learn how to build students' civic knowledge, and explore ways to partner with Facing History to create thriving learning communities.

Certification in Holocaust Pedagogy 2026–2027

Applications to join the next cohort are now open! Our CHP program provides intensive training on how to teach the Holocaust in secondary schools. Over the course of ten months, participants will engage in historical and pedagogical learning before completing final projects. The program culminates with an optional travel study experience in Poland. Questions? Email [email protected]

Next Generations is a nonprofit organization founded in 2004 by children of Holocaust Survivors, educators and others who care about social injustice with the vision of empowering future generations to be the messenger for all Survivors and keep their authentic voices alive. First Person: Conversations with Holocaust Survivors

First Person is a monthly (select Wednesdays at 1pm ET) hour-long discussion featuring a live interview between journalist Bill Benson and a survivor, including questions from the audience, available on the Museum's YouTube channel.
