The Center for Holocaust, Genocide, and

Human Rights Education of North Carolina
inspires students, teachers and communities to

combat ignorance, fear and distrust that breeds bigotry, hate, and violence.

​​​​

Our Center works with schools, museums, libraries, community organizations, and houses of worship to provide age-appropriate presentations and events on the Holocaust, other genocides, and human rights.  

The Holocaust Speakers Bureau, a part of our Center, offers organizations and schools opportunities to host Holocaust survivors and their descendants to share their stories.  

Periodic commemorative programs are offered to honor the memories of those lost during the

Holocaust and the righteous individuals who rescued Jews and other victims of the Third Reich

and other perpetrators of violence.  

We provide valuable resources to teachers and the public, such as:

• Age-appropriate presentations by Holocaust survivors and their descendants who are available to   visit your classroom or organization in person or on Zoom.
  
• Short documentary films of local Holocaust survivors.
• Lesson plans and PowerPoint presentations.
  
• A resource library of books, maps, posters, and DVDs.
  
• Community programs on the Holocaust, including commemorative events.
  
• A two-page Guide to the Holocaust.​
